"...starting on a new project that will be a benefit cd of women doing Greg's songs. Our first track came in yesterday from Lucinda Williams doing Greg's "Lately". Lucinda and Bo Ramsey did it together and it is definitely straight from the heart. Powerful. I'm still working on my list of women to ask to take part in it. Iris Dement, Ani DiFranco, Gillian Welch, Lucy Kaplansky, Cheryl Wheeler, Nina Gerber, Stacey Earle are all contributing a song to the project. I'malso asking Shawn Colvin, Mary Chapin carpenter and Emmy Lou Harris to participate. I'm still waiting to hear from other artists. If you have any suggestions of artists to include or songs they might do please email me. I hope this will come out sometime next year. Have a great summer, Bob Feldman ." cant wait to see this project lucy do the movie of life song.... Just like you did last week ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 20 Jun 2000 09:19:27 -0400 From: votels Subject: [lucy-list] Hearing Lucy Hey everybody: I just wanted to share my delight at hearing Lucy sing "Somewhere Out There" while shopping in my local SuperFresh market last Friday. The song was playing over the store sound system. I wonder if the entire chain of stores has the same soundtrack? We also have tickets to the Lucy/Richard concert in Baltimore Saturday night. If you're interested, search Uptown Concerts for information. - -- Jay Votel ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 20 Jun 2000 15:32:12 EDT From: RedleifC@aol.com Subject: [lucy-list] Lucy in Englewood, NJ My apologies to those of you outside the New York/New Jersey area, but I came across this Lucy appearance that hasn't been publicized much, and I wanted other listers to know about it. Lucy will be appearing with John Gorka and Patty Larkin at the John Harms Center for the Arts in Englewood, NJ (very close to NYC by car) on Saturday, 7/15/00. Check out http://johnharms.org/ or call (201) 567-3600.
