Martha Trachtenberg's song "I Choose You" is a perfect Lucy song - strong, beautiful, and the lyrics... PERFECT!! From your mouth, to Lucy's ears. I hope other Lucy-listers find out about Martha's CD, "It's About Time." It's in my top five of play-it-again and again and again. Sometimes when i want to hear her singing a particular nanci griffith song or steve earle song i feel bad that i wouldn't rather hear one of her own. But that's wrong, because they are jsut different things. Being a wonderfully talented singer and harmony whore is totally different from being a gifted writer. >are there any suggestions for songs by Greg brown >lucy should cover One cool remove if chapin and shawn hadn't nicked it. >she also sang two of four of the angry trilogy songs okay, we went from three to four?? I finally saw Lucy here in Portland (OR), at St. John's Pub. I believe the show was sold out, what a great evening!!! I wasn't lucky enough to see Cry, Cry, Cry but saw Dar Williams in '98, which kinda introduced me to Lucy. Seems like most of you that post are in the New England area, or UK. Anyone else out here in the Pacific Northwest? I do think I saw Bill, Lucy's web-page guy that night. I was over there visiting another musical hero of mine in Salem; and really enjoyed all I saw of Oregon. I think I should start a campaign to have Lucy tour down-under. The discerning public of Oz would also love her!! At 00:49 16/06/00 EDT, you wrote: >Wow, Chris!!! That is a long way to go for a concert! hope you enjoyed >your stay here in Portland.
