It was a bit of a shock surfing channels at 1 AM and seeing Lucy singing! From the part I saw it looked like a really good show, I'm going to order the whole tape. ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 26 May 2000 07:20:50 -0700 (PDT) From: John Alvord Subject: Re: [lucy-list] Artist's Profile On Fri, 26 May 2000, Mike Evans wrote: > This was on TV in NY this past Saturday, I didn't know ahead of time and > only caught the last 10 minutes. To explain the Roches are virtual unknowns within the UK. I was sitting around the office in 1979 and someone would say "Heard the Roches?" and of course everyone says "who?" So I was the first in Britain to see them. They played the niteclub at the Playhouse in Edinburgh and came onstage around 1.30 a.m. that morning. I remember getting a kiss from Suzzy. I can't remember if Maggie and Terri were so friendly. They did the "Parkinson" chat show the next night. So I admit I'm a bit lost since then. I have the Roche's albums on vinyl up till "Keep on Doing" I guess I lost touch. Anyway the album is wonderful and Suzzy come back to Edinburgh, we luv ya (PS my ex wife hates the music, could never appreciate decent harmony). Thanks Iain (Tell me more about the Roches and my lost years) PS Two more Lucy converts on the way. I'm spreading the word Atlantic Canada way! - ----- Original Message ----- From: Iain Geddes To: Sent: 26 May 2000 18:51 Subject: Re: [lucy-list] Artist's Profile > Regarding the Artist's Profile featuring Lucy, can you guys Stateside give > me an idea where to get a hold of it.
