Hi all,
Opening for Lucy will be one of my favorites -- Martha Trachtenberg. I know
many of you have discovered how wonderful she is, so this concert will be a
treat.
As I write this, Martha is performing at the Bluebird Cafe in Nashville, and
next week she'll be performing in Rocky Hill, NJ. On the same bill will be
acoustic great, Preston Reid, who's performed with such luminaries as Lyle
Lovett, Linda Ronstadt and Bonnie Raitt; also performing will be Peter
Spenser, who has just released his first CD. Peter is a gifted lyricist with
a sharp eye for story-telling....and jaunty folk-blues guitar.
If you mention seeing this, you'll receive $2 off your ticket.
Check out Heartstings Promotions
for more concerts, including the John Gorka and Lucy K series of concerts in
November.

As Iain so rightly stated we met Carl Gottlieb at Lucy's Glasgow gig =
last year. It would have been great speaking to him for longer as as =
well as his movie credits he is also a buddy of David Crosby. I had read =
the Crosby biography when it came out several years ago and Carl is =
mentioned in it several times. I have just finished reading the Untold =
Eagles Story and once again old Carl appears. He hung out with all these =
musicians, movie and music moguls who used to have parties all the time =
and these were parties where anything went on. The 60's/70's free love, =
acoustic music, drugs, you name it by all accounts. What tales I'm sure =
Carl could tell. Being a mate of Crosby must have been quite something =
especially if you consider the music that was being played at that time.
Wish we had had more time to chat.
Ian
