Who's goin' to be the first with an MPeg pick?! 1. Nanci Griff-Dustbowl Symphony 2. Ten Year Night Lucy K 3. Memories Left Behind-Kate Wolf tribute album 4. Sand & Water-Beth Nielsen Chapman 5. I don't have a multi-disc changer in my car. I knew when I got my cd player that I like to change cds so much so I didn't want to be messing with stuff in my trunk. I digress... here's my top 5 when I'm not listening to TYN: 1. Richard Shindell - Somewhere Near Paterson 2. Patty Griffin - Living With Ghosts 3. Susan Werner - Time Between Trains 4. Jonatha Brooke - the live cd 5. anything Dar, though lately it's been the Honesty Room I don't know if there are any other Patty Griffin lovers out there but does anyone have an idea of when she's putting a new album out? I guess that's all for now. Time to go take a music theory test. Don't even have a cd player, i have a bashed old personal stero and its headphones are falling apart. This is gunna be a hard list to make, and it changes every single week and its in no way a top 5 albums, jsut what i'm listening to right now. It's not in an order either. 1) Susan Werner - last of the good straight girls 2) Dar Williams - the honesty room/all my heroes are dead 3) Steve Earle - Exit 0 4) Catie Curtis - Crash course in roses/ truth from lies 5) Joni Mitchell - Blue Generally i listen to more dar and more nanci griffith and stuff, but not just now. >Time to go take a music theory test. Booooooring (but easy) Yup, i totally sympathise...It's filling in all those blank scores that is jsut soooo boring and adding all the extra bits and counting and transposing and halfing time signatures and converting from alto to treble clef....aghhh...Good luck, i take mine in june. jenny* ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 20 Apr 00 20:27:29 +0100 From: John Edward Graveling Subject: Re: [lucy-list] what has me spinning What has me spinning: 1. All the people who have contributed to "what I'm spinning" have made this SharonG exercise totally enjoyable and have afforded a whole group of new artists and CDs to explore. Well done, so far, everybody. wbe ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 20 Apr 2000 18:12:31 EDT From: Steeleye77@cs.com Subject: Re: [lucy-list] what has me spinning OK, here' what I've been listening to this week: 1. As tomorrow is a public holiday the stores got them today, not allowed to sell them before release, but as I know my local store owner well, well I have it. Take care, I'm on the road with Kevin Montgomery & Doug Pettibone as they embark on their first UK tour. Things are going well at present. One third of the way through, we have lots of in-store promotions and radio to do in the next five days.
