Every cd he has put out is excellent. He is also one of my favorite performers to see in person. Great stage presence and sense of humor, and he will blow you away with both his guitar playing and singing. His first cd "The Long Road" is out of print but sometimes shows up on E-bay. Well worth buying if you can find it. His "Now You Are My Home" cd sits in my (multi)player and never leaves. It is among my favorite albums of all time. It is one of the handful of cds that I can recommend to anyone and not have any concern at all that they wont (at the very least) really like it. If you get it, you will quite likely buy the rest of Cliff's cds soon thereafter. If you get the opportunity, go see Cliff live, he is the real thing. I presume Ian will read it also. I'm really looking forward to hearing more of Cliff's work. I'm sure we'd all like to hear Cliff live this side of the pond. Hopetoun House you reckon Ian, Jenny, Walter. Lets put the pressure on. I'm new here, my name is Jana, and I just saw Lucy live for the first time last night (4-7) in Albuquerque. It was such an awesome show I had to join the list! :-) Highlights of the show for me were: - - End of the Day - my fave Lucy song of all time, so far... - Turn the Lights Back On - I never realized she had such a driving guitar style, one of those "you have to see her live" type of things, I guess. - This Is Mine - By Way of Sorrow - I was hoping that she'd play this one, and she did! - She broke 4 (!) guitar strings during the show. I told her afterward it was probably the altitude; she agreed. Well, I'm relatively new in my Lucy fandom, so I'll just sit back and lurk! Cheers, Jana ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 8 Apr 2000 00:21:32 EDT From: Wblr4@aol.com Subject: Re: [lucy-list] new member (abq show 4/7) Geez, Jana....you sound like a veteran Lucy-lister to me.
