We haven't celebrated the promotion of 'End of The Day' to daytime playing...so i will shout WOOOOHOOOOO on behalf of me. It's so funny, i can jsut see my mother...she's in the car on her way to work at 8am, tuned in to terry wogan on BBC R2 'cause he makes her laugh' and then she will hear..."I usta hear um sing in a bleeker street bar..." and she will start screaming, "OH GAWD!! NOOOO!!! NOT THAT WOMAN AGAIN...SHE BLARES THROUGH EVERY SPEAKER IN MY HOUSE AND NOW NOT EVEN MY CAR IS SACRED" hehhehehe...It's all part of the plan mumsy. As for my other mother (i am referring to my NYC mother, my mum isn't a lesbian, too bad really when you consider my dad, but anyway...) I sent on the stalker note to Texas. Anybody at the cactus? Have fun y'all... jenny* You have to laugh at yourself, because you'd cry your eyes out if you didn't ~ EMily SaliERs ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 6 Apr 2000 07:53:51 EDT From: Wblr4@aol.com Subject: Re: [lucy-list] Silence I was reminded of something that I wanted to ask.......after looking at Lucy's concert schedule that takes her to Alaska.....are there any fans in Alaska? That would be interesting to me. I've been to Alaska and it is the most remarkable geographic state in the U.S. Probably not a lot of culture but it can't be beat for beauty and nice people. Definitely, a hearty place to live. wbe ------------------------------ Date: 6 Apr 00 08:21:53 PDT From: Linda Hogan Subject: [lucy-list] removal from email list Please remove Lark7LindaHogan from this mailing list; I have relocated to my home site since this is an office site and not to be used for personal business. New Bedford has him." So much for my own speculation and research! I'm curious what useful information sources Michael has that I do not---it's not on Musi-cal. Is this news from "Shindell's List"? Now we need to pick a fifth player to complete our Winnipeg Folk Stars team to go up against your New Bedford Whalers. My dismay about the two festivals drawing from the same talent pool on the same weekend was legitimate--all my new favorite artists are from the Northeastern U.S.--but perhaps I was wrong to assume that the two would conflict every year. Anyway, for this year I am fortunate to have "Plan B"--a frequent flier airplane ticket to Falcon Ridge--already in hand! Non-stop to Bradford Intl! So no tears are in order for me. Also I get to see The Nields and Susan Werner next weekend and Richard in May. I just saw Cheryl Wheeler last week--what a hoot! Dar's playing in Duluth in May for $18.50 general admission.....Yipes! If I weren't in line to see her multiple times this summer, I might make that road trip....If the new CD were available at that show it could sway me as well, but that's probably a bit early for it to be out. ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 6 Apr 2000 16:12:50 EDT From: SpecGlobal@aol.com Subject: [lucy-list] Summer Festivals Hi all, My apologies for being just a lurker for the past while, but the non-musical, non-Lucy parts of my life have been way too intrusive of late. In any event, I just wanted to point out the fact that our dear Lucy K, in addition to maintaining her normal intense touring schedule, is booked into about every one of the major festivals this summer. Appel Farms, New Bedford, FRFF, Newport, Rocky Mountain, Ottawa. I don't think I'm missing anything (maybe Kate Wolf, which I haven't checked out), but it sure seems to me like Lucy either won the summer lottery or those of us who hang around these parts are about to get a bunch of new brothers and sisters. Quite cool. Quite impressive.
