Tell more, please, in particular the date. Knowing my luck it will be when I am away but, for the moment, I will keep everything crossed since I haven't seen Emmylou since the New American Music Tour in Glasgow waaaaaaaay back when (1995 perhaps?). You have now, Walter! :-) Last October, Pete Knight, Katrin Uhl and myself arranged for Peter Mulvey to play a house concert in Pete Knight's parents' living room in Swords village, a little north of Dublin. We picked the esteemed Mr Mulvey up from Dublin airport, fed him dinner, and enjoyed his company and his performance immensely! It was certainly well worth the effort, and Peter seemed to enjoy himself too! As far as we were able to tell, it was the first house concert in Ireland! Some photos are displayed at http://freespace.virgin.net/mckay.david/swords.htm, and also on Peter Mulvey's website at http://www.petermulvey.com/photos.html. Dave. PS Jenny ... why pick Buchanan Street for your festival, when there are so many other locations in the "dear green place"? Pollock Park springs to mind ... the Burrell Collection would form an interesting counterpoint to the music. Or perhaps Bellahouston Park ... I mean, if it's good enough for the Pope, it's good enough for Lucy K! :-) PPS Has anyone seen my favourite red guitar pick? :-( ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 27 Mar 2000 23:38:18 +0100 From: "Dave McKay" Subject: [lucy-list] Emmylou In Scotland Steve Earle's unofficial web page quotes an automated ticket line number for the Hopetoun House event: http://www.steveearle.net/tour.htm Dave, who doesn't live five miles from Hopetoun House any more. ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 27 Mar 2000 15:46:19 PST From: "sharon g" Subject: [lucy-list] steve earle the pearl Here: scotland: someone go for me....
