It breaks my heart whenever I see her encounter people who ignore what she says because it's "too much work" to "decipher" what she's saying. That's all. - -Maryann ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 20 Mar 2000 17:17:50 CST From: "Chris Tilden" Subject: [lucy-list] Guinevere Hi all. I hope I didn't do what I just think I did. Particularly after reading Dave MacKay's post (right on, of course) regarding the inclusion of clips from previous digests, I'm afraid I may have just sent the whole previous digest back to the list without having added my comment. I hope I am not banned for life. All I wanted to do (really) was to clarify something regarding my Lawrence Lucy show review. I commented on all of the "non-Lucy" songs that were requested. I did not mean to imply that Guinevere is. It appears on her first CD, of course, but I do know that it is a Robin Batteau (spelling?) song. But she covers it beautifully! If everybody was like me or you or who, we would all be throwing up with boredom. It's the wonderfulness of those who add the color of humanity that make each day better. wbe ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 20 Mar 2000 21:19:17 -0500 From: "Matt Mullen" Subject: Re: [lucy-list] 3/22 Cincinnati/Newport, Ky Show w/Eric Andersen Pat (and others), I'll be traveling from Indianapolis to the Southgate House show on Wednesday! I'm really looking forward to it. I've been wanting to check out Southgate House for a while but haven't made it down there yet. I'm gathering that it's a smallish-type venue. About how many people usually make it to gigs there? This is going to be a three-Lucy week for me (and for others in the Ohio Valley) -- tomorrow (Tues) night at the Rudyard Kipling in Louisville, Southgate House on Wednesday (I'm flying solo for that one), and a house concert in Indianapolis next Saturday night. Having never been to a house concert before, that should be the icing on the cake. (Oh, did I just say *cake*? ...) As a Midwesterner, I haven't had so good since, like, November! Hope to see some of you on Wednesday.
