Will this replace the baked good thread? Ohoh... Well, all you Powers' drinkers, we should have a party then some day. And let's have Lucy over, too, maybe even Paul Brady. :-) I'd say I bring a bottle to Falcon Ridge, but I'm not sure if I can make it there this year. But we could have a Lucy house concert at my place and I'd provide the Powers. (alright, now nobody please tell me that I'm too geographically disadvantaged to have Lucy play a house concert here, I only had one cup of coffee so far today - I don't deal well with disappointments in that state :-) ) cheers, Katrin ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 13 Feb 2000 08:28:15 PST From: "sharon g" Subject: [lucy-list] lucy fest day 2 my hidden sources tell me that JOhn PLatt did a birthday treat to lucy on his am show did i get in my car? no am i FUVless? But I would say that they were up to her songwriting standards. I think she could do good service to a lot of material...she is so versatile. Doing the same stuff night after night would be tough I would think....she should be allowed to give herself a break and pick some tunes that she likes even if she didn't write them. I asked her about the source of trilogy song #2 as I had a theory about the song...I told her my guess.....it was wrong but she got a good laugh out of it....and then shared it's root....I couldn't have been much further off!!! But it was fun. She is so accomodating....that night I think she was a little tired but still stayed and visited patiently with all who wanted to say something. She is a true pleasure in my opinion. I give her high marks as a performer/entertainer/and just plain nice person.
