I've gotten waaaay too many emails and a few comments on here so, I'll fess up. Yes, Richard's cd is wonderful. That much is true. I did not find a cover of TYN. Sorry, I couldn't help it. It was meant in the light spirit and recent comments of MOST Lucy listers....I should have realized how heavy, serious and life sustaining this subject matter is. I'll not do it again. :) :) Sorry to have upset a few applecarts. I hope you can continue with your life as you knew it! BUT, a friend that books act for Rosebud in Pittsburgh just emailed me. The place is a renovated train station with an award-winning restaurant and the music room is intimate – maybe 100 seats. HIGHLIGHTS: Lucy played a lot of requests, including mine for the “new anger song” that I wouldn’t have known about without commentary from this digest. She also took a risk by playing her new, unfinished song, commissioned for a movie, “Don’t Mind Me.” “Crazy Dreams,” Lucy said, is a Paul Brady song she was inspired to sing after talking with Brady during her tour of Great Britain. Brady penned “Mary and the Soldier” from Lucy's first disc. Lucy used the CD booklet to read the lyrics for “Crazy Dreams,” indicating that it was fairly new to her songlist. ------------------------------ End of lucy-list-digest V2 #14 ****************************** This has been a posting from the Lucy Kaplansky mail list digest To unsubscribe send mail to Majordomo@smoe.org with "unsubscribe lucy-list-digest" in the body of the message
