Poor Beth had obviously been bug stricken but nevertheless put on a brilliant show. It was the first time I had seen her live (missed her Summer gig due to holiday commitments). Joined by co writer Annie Roboff they did requests as well as some new songs from the forthcoming album. It was hard at times for Beth to sing due to her cold but she still sounded good. What an amazing woman and the quality of her songs are wonderful. If you have never seen or heard her before you should put that to rights straight away. After the gig she took time out to sign autographs and I got some photos too. Was there anyone else from the list there? Jenny Frog get in touch for Thursday. I heard it was out, went to Boarders to pick it up, and they said it wasnt released yet. If anyone knows where I can pick it up as well as some commentary on the CD, please let me know. I can't imagine > the touring schedule is gonna ever be the same.............. I heard this last fall when we were trying to book him for a show. His booking agent didn't think he'd be touring this summer, but with the new CD coming out (release date is in February, I think), maybe he'll get a few more in before he moves. ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 16 Jan 2000 10:21:57 -0500 From: Jeff Bernstein Subject: [lucy-list] Moving to Argentina I was surprised when someone said Richard was planning to move to Argentina so I went back to the web site and found this, which is the last paragraph of the press release : >Somewhere Near Paterson is a powerful, dark, yet ultimately >irresistible experience. Catch him while you can. Jeff np - "Night Time" Driver Quartet (I decided to take a short break from Somewhere Near Paterson after playing it continuously for the past few days. It'll be back in the player soon enough. And despite any initial reservations it keeps getting better and better. I haven't had this hard a time getting a new CD out of my player in a long time - not since TYN. It won't be officially released until 2/8, but you can get it now from ) ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 16 Jan 2000 11:17:59 EST From: Steeleye99@aol.com Subject: Re: [lucy-list] Re: lucy-list-digest V2 #9 Get it now through signature sounds.com, $14 plu $ S&H, and you get a free sampler, otherwise its not out till 2/8, I believe. Thats goo and..... THATS ALMOST TOO MUCH TO TAKE ON A SUNDAY AM!!! Whatever he does, thank goodness I have my copy of Sparrows Point. I'll lay a wreath on the sign for Sparrows Point and Fells Point next weekend. I'll get my friends and relatives to attend every B. Chorus performance and cheer his Dad on. I think that the new cd is WONDERFUL. Some classic Shindell songs. The first one is definitely one that will be played on public and possibly commercial air. Loved that hidden track covering Ten Year night! Richard started selling the CD at the CRY3 show at the Sanders and it has been available online from his label Signature Sounds since Jan 10th. You can order it from their webpage which I believe is at: http://www.signature-sounds.com Usually if you order from Signature Sounds they send you a free compilation with songs from recent releases along with your order which is always very cool. Richard's new album is absolutely stunning and I highly recommend getting it before it hits the stores. Lucy joins Richard for a beautiful song called "Waiting for the storm" and both, Dar and Lucy, back him up on Buddy & Julie Miller's "My love will follow you".
