This was an acoustic, pared down tour - just Suzanne and her longtime bassist Mike Visceglia. The last time I saw her with a band (in 97), it probably was with Steve Donnelly, as he was on the studio album (Nine Objects of Desire) and the touring band was much the same as the studio band. The should was a double bill with Eddie From Ohio (Who were unbelievaby awesome). She did a lot of stuff from TYN, and a few covers and a couple of Cry Cry Cry numbers. My only complaint was the annoying dude sitting next to me who sang along ot EVERY SINGLE SONG complete with hand gestures. During EFO's encore, Lucy came out to sing with them for a cool version of "The Water Is Wide" (Lucy had to use a lyric sheet. I thought everyone knew that song) :) After the show my friend and I went over to say hi and Lucy remembered me, by name! I thought that was way cool. I gave her a lewaf and took a goofy picture of her with it (i'll stick it up on my web page when i get them developed if anyone is interested in seeing it) Lucy said she's heard rumours that Lucy-listers are being required to bring baked goods and wanted to know where that came from. I didn't give anything away, though. :-) Well, I gotta get ready to leave for the house concert tonight. I'll try and report on that tomorrow. (for harvey's sake) ;) take care, katie http://userwww.sfsu.edu/~stohlman ------------------------------ End of lucy-list-digest V1 #233 ******************************* This has been a posting from the Lucy Kaplansky mail list digest To unsubscribe send mail to Majordomo@smoe.org with "unsubscribe lucy-list-digest" in the body of the message
