Lucy's music is constantly being recommended on >the Nanci Griffith and Kate Campbell mailing lists First, Hi Steve!!!! it's the 'antagonist' frog here.... Second, I heard kate campbell for the first time this weekend (thanks to a big fat parcel from somewhere in NY ; ) . I was pretty impressed. i don't like her as much as lucy, dar or nanci, but she has serious growing potential. as in, if i hear more, i'll like more...i liked 'tupelo's too far'. i'm off to listen to 'rosarryville' right now...Oh, and CHristine lavin was in that package too, she's really great, anybody know more abotu her? jenny* ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 6 Nov 1999 08:07:01 EST From: RockinRonD@aol.com Subject: [lucy-list] A Restless Farewell Those of you who s$bscribe to the DarList already know by now that I am uns$bscribing from that list as a result of my new affiliation with the New York Times. I will covering music for the paper's Sunday sections, including Long Island, Westchester, Connecticut and New Jersey. I regret having to leave the Lists I belong to but in order to maintain objectivity and remain uncompromised, I have decided to leave. The Times in general doesn't like its writers belonging to fan clubs, which is what these Lists are, as they should be. Then again, this opportunity gives me a chance to reach more people about the undiscovered talent we all have known for years (You'll see an in-depth profile of Richard by me in the NYT Long Island and Westchester sections the last Sunday in January). I will miss this List, as well as Dar's terribly, but remember if you live in any of those areas, you'll be able to read my stuff. Or there's always Music Matters Review, for which I will keep writing. And of course, you shall still see me at all Lucy, Richard, Dar shows whenever they're within a 100 mile radius. Sure hope both the Lucy and Richard Lists thrive. With the many great people on both, they can only get better and better. Ciao, Everyone! I'm sorry you have to part cybercompany with your list comrades. May you find such affinity with your new cohort.
