On a somewhat related note, I found the following item in WFUV's schedule: MONDAY, AUGUST 23 6AM-9PM, City Folk: New releases in the spotlight. 7-9 AM, Under the Covers: The music of Lucy Kaplansky, as interpreted by others. Now, Lucy has done amazing original work, has done sensational interpretations of the music of others, and has also made stunning vocal contributions to the albums of other artists. If these are the elements of a two hour show, someone at FUV deserves a medal (and/or a raise) for coming up with such a great idea. However, if the show is really supposed to be Lucy's music as interpreted by others, I am confused because, at least to this writing, I am unaware of anyone having covered any of Lucy's work. (Unless those of us who assumed that Sharon G was kidding about all of those people she claimed were all covering Ten Year Night were wrong and she has actually been telling us the truth.) I will post any details I can find.
