SO, people can do more trading (yes, i said *trading*--no money involved here--had to say that even though i know y'all knew it already) and be able to find boots of folk artists more easily. and for those of you with shelves full of boots and no webpage, never fear! send me a list of the boots you have (y'know, the regular info: artist, venue, date, length of tape, and any other important information...) and i'll put 'em out in cyberspace for ya. now, depending on how many lists of this kind i recieve, it may take me awhile to do this, but i promise it'll happen! oh, and if you have friends who aren't on this list (or the rose-p list or folk-dj list...sorry for the cross-posting, kids) but who have a boot page or at least a list they can send me, please pass this message along! thanks! love, rebecca. ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 28 Jul 1999 00:18:48 EDT From: Wa2suh@aol.com Subject: [lucy-list] Letterman Show Okay, the time is right folks. If Patty Griffin can be on David Letterman then the time has definitely come for Lucy to appear and get exposed to a national audience. (Patty Griffin was on last week and didn't impress me with her singing or choice of song). I went to the cbs.com site, clicked on Letterman and came up with a screen that said "write to us." So, lets start something. Write to them at: lswdl@aol.com and tell them you want to see Lucy as a musical guest. Tell them in your own words why. I think "End of the Day" with her band would blow the roof off the Ed Sullivan Theatre. I have a few to trade but would LOVE to get some more recordings. I'd love to know when you get the site up and running.
