It's before track one on "Flesh and Bone." Your cd player needs to be able to search backwards thru music to get to the hidden track. Start playing track 1...and then hit the backwards search button....(kinda like rewinding thru a song rather than going directly to the previous track). You'll see a negative number on the counter...like " -3.31 " or something like that. That's your hidden track. Worth the effort! - -DC ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 11 May 1999 08:21:15 -0400 From: Howie Lyhte Subject: Re: [lucy-list] Why, why, why.... The Muse in Londonderry is a fabulous venue. Check out their site at: http://www.ntplx.net/~jmiele/muse/ I've seen Richard Shindell there (twice), Lori McKenna and Robbie O'Connell, and missed a whole lot more! Also, The New Moon in Haverhill, MA has many great shows. See: http://www1.shore.net/~rws1/newmoon.html I missed the flower show last weekend, how was it? - -- Howie Lyhte howie@lucent.com ________________________________________________________________________ \|/ ____ \|/ ~@-/ oO \-@~ /_( \__/ )_\ Don't panic! \__U_/ ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 11 May 1999 08:30:25 -0400 From: "Bill McDonough" Subject: [lucy-list] URGENT SMOE legal problems Hi guys; Sorry to interrupt the music discussions with some list administrative stuff. The nice people at smoe who provide the servers and bandwidth for these lists to us (for free) have an urgent legal problem. Apparently someone is contemplating suing them because they have copyrighted material stored in some of the list archives. Anyway, they are looking for any list members who might be lawyers and/or experts regarding copyright issues and would be willing to help them. If you can help out, please email me privately and I will put you in touch. Thanks. Are there any 80's children who saw it on Reading Rainbow? Does this make any sense to you at all? The point of the message is just that yesterday I decided to take procrastination to new heights, and instead of spending half an hour or so reading and posting to lists, I spent about 3 hours on a canoeing trip. For some reason I sang Lucy songs the entire way. Which was all well and good, until I got to End of the Day and my friend (who was in the back, so I forgave her) thought I was singing I'm Henry the VIII, I Am. Also, like probably a lot of people here, I've adopted Turn the Lights Back On as as a personal song. I know it's about a therapist, but it also perfectly describes my ex-housemate (one of the main reasons she's now an ex). I sang that yesterday, too, but it didn't get mistaken for any Herman's Hermits songs. OK, back to writing a depressing paper on sexism in elementary schools! (as she shakes her head in disbelief) i must correct y'all - jelly roll morton is a piano player in the same vane as scott joplin-ragtime not blues. one of you gutta have the name "trashmouth" as your blues name or i will take trashmouth. also you myst name your guitar after a woman- if i was to sing hte blues (which i have been known to do) i would have to weigh over 300lbs and my dental care would be questionable. enough fromthe third ron on the blues. maybe we should be red white and blue- you guys pick as in my previous post on johnny cash- shel silverstein author & song writer died. some of you may know him from "the giving tree" i know him from a boy named sue & loretta lynn's the pill boy named sue- johnny cash tune. just more of the same from sharon _______________________________________________________________ Get Free Email and Do More On The Web. At the local Borders in San Francisco they have Ten Year Night on the listening station under the label of something like Emerging Artists. I was so excited to see Lucy being featured that I just about dropped whatever it was that I was holding. However, the little description labels her lyrics as Alanis-like and her voice conjuring up images of them Nields. I don't know about anyone else but when I think of Katryna Nields' voice, the first thing that pops to mind is not Lucy Kaplanksy. But I digress. It was still cool to see the record being featured! One more thing, for anyone planning on going to the Lucy show in Monterey, CA (is it next week already?), is the show definitely 21+? And if so, anyone know a good way for one under the age of 21 (i'm 19) to attend under the disguise of a merchie (i have experience!), water fetcher, pick holder, etc or, if worse comes to worse, where one could pick up one of those fake ids? (kidding aside, i couldn't go through with the fake id aspect because, no matter how realistic it appeared, no one would believe i was over the age of 14. darn my youthful appearance) All righty, enough for now.
