I had a similar experience with Dar recently! I was shopping at a natural food store in town and the girl working the counter was playing the Honesty Room. I was all smiles after that and we had a good chat about folk singers. I laughed when she sounded so happy describing seeing Dar at a concert and how she got to talk to her afterwards. Anyways, thought I'd share too. On a Lucy note, Ron G. is so awesome for sharing his transcriptions of TYN!!! I haven't been able to play anything else on my guitar since receiving his email. I have started to think that although Lucy was wonderful when I saw her touring solo, I think the songs on TYN rock when accompanied by a band. She should get a band for her upcoming shows. I've been trying to keep a rhythm bass while playing on my guitar, but I wish I knew someone who played the drums! Anyways, I'm going bird watching before it gets dark. Take care all, Tawni - -- I'm not gonna let you burn your own house down I know you don't like living in it now Catie Curtis _Burn Your Own House Down_ ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 03 Apr 1999 17:53:12 -0500 From: regis lefebure Subject: [lucy-list] tickets for Cry3 Princeton show I have four tickets to the Cry Cry Cry show in Princeton NJ April 17. I have to work in Atlanta that weekend and am willing to let these great seats go. Seats are in the tier section, which apparently is a unique row at the front of the balcony seating, and are on the aisle. $33 apiece. I saw the show at the Birchmere in Alexandria VA and it's wonderful! Sorry I won't make it to the McCarter Theatre. Please reply or call me at (301) 495-5672. Thanks! regis ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 3 Apr 1999 18:56:28 EST From: Radnj@aol.com Subject: [lucy-list] The famous Armani Jacket Hiya All, I know i'm a little late in responding to the Armani jacket thread (no pun intended), but i just wanted to clarify that Lucy has actually replaced Armani. What people don't realize is it's not the same jacket -Lucy has been wearing a black leather SHIRT from Banana Republic for the last few weeks (including the gigs Rockin' Ron saw). I saw her at the Tin Angel last week and in fact Lucy was NOT wearing the Armani Jacket. The leather shirt looked great, perhaps even better than the famous jacket. Not that this matters much cause Lucy always looks great no matter what she is stylin'....she's just got it like that!! No big deal, just thought i would mention this little tid-bit. If you see lucy often or any artist for that matter, chances are you will see the same threads more than once. On another note....how cool would it be if Lucy had a video? Anyone have a particular song they would like to see a video made for? Personally, i think TYN could be a great video...any other thoughts? I was supposed to attend, but I couldn't get out of work. Did Dar make any surprise appearances? I'd love to go, but don't have any Lucy-fan buddies, and feel pretty bad about going alone. I could go alone, but I think it would be depressing. So, anyone wanna go? Not too worry - there will be many of us there. I will be there along with Keith Richardson, Ron G. Should we organize a get together beforehand?
