But, alas, the chances of that happening are slim and none. So we'll keep on having Lucy for ourselves. So that's not such a bad thing. Now this is the perfect place! Why am I not able to hear the hidden track of "I've Just Seen a Face" on Flesh & Bone. I have played it in my home CD player, my car CD player and my PC at work which is a fairly new computer (purchased within the last year or 2) with no luck. Is there some special type of player I need or different software than MS CD player (windows 95 version). I'm gettin' kinda frustrated! Thanks, Tina ************************************************************************* To unsubscribe from the Lucy Kaplansky mailing list, send a a message to majordomo@smoe.org with the text "unsubscribe lucy-list" in the body of the message. ************************************************************************* ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 1 Mar 1999 15:10:03 EST From: SteadyOnDC@aol.com Subject: Re: [lucy-list] hidden tracks Tina...about that hidden track. If you haven't already....try this: Start playing song #1....then on your cd player or remote hit the "<< BACKWARD SEARCH" button. Not all cd players have such a button to go search forward and backward WITHIN a song. See if yours does. This is different from the function button that brings you straight to the next song (or previous song). This search button scrolls back or forward within the song....so you can get to a certain line, etc. in the track. If you do have such a function on your cd player....start at song #1...and then use this button to scroll all the way back til your cd timer reads -3.41 or something like that (I forget the actual time count). Then just let it play. Such a production, huh? - -Denise C. ************************************************************************* To unsubscribe from the Lucy Kaplansky mailing list, send a a message to majordomo@smoe.org with the text "unsubscribe lucy-list" in the body of the message. ************************************************************************* ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 1 Mar 1999 15:27:30 -0500 From: "Bill McDonough" Subject: RE: [lucy-list] hidden tracks I have to start at the beginning of track 1 and use the reverse seek to hear it. I just assumed that it was at the end like the Merle Haggard track at the end of RS's Reunion Hill. For that I just let the thing keep playing. I didn't think to look before #1. Thanks for the map! I tried it on my PC's CD player and the reverse seek (skip backwards) key still doesn't want to go back before zero. But my car player has that button too, so I'll give it a try. Anyway, it gave me an excuse to play F&B now while I work. Thanks, Bill and Denise, for the tip. Glad you thought to save this question for the LUCY list! Have you tried going backwards about 3:50 or so from track 1 (one). You have to hold the << button. Let me know if this works.
