[Sue Trowbridge Subject: Loud Family news update: the CD is almost ready! I am very happy and relieved to say that the Loud Family CD is at the manufacturer's, and is still on track for its mid-July street date. The CD will be distributed through Burnside Distribution, and should be for sale at fine record stores everywhere as well as online. Scott and Anton are planning to do some shows in July, and if all goes well, you may even see them play elsewhere than the West Coast! If you were a fan of Game Theory back in the 80s, you were probably aware of Don Dixon, who was a contemporary of GT producer Mitch Easter. He produced albums by bands like the Smithereens, Chris Stamey, Tommy Keene and Guadalcanal Diary, and released several fine albums in his own right. Well, along with releasing a brand new Loud Family CD, 125 Records is also pleased to offer the first new Don Dixon album in several years, "The Entire Combustible World in One Small Room." Since both albums will appeal to a lot of the same people and they're coming out so close together, we've put together a special offer: buy both CDs for a mere $20. Your Dixon CD will ship right away, and you'll be the first to get a copy of the LF CD in your mailbox. Read all the details at http://www.125records.com/shop.html . There's a Dixon MP3 up at http://www.125records.com/sounds.html . The LF web site is in the process of being overhauled, and I've posted a pic of Scott and Kristine's new baby, Julianne, with her big sis Valerie, at http://www.loudfamily.com/ . I resisted the urge to add a caption like, "Please help our Daddy contribute to our college fund -- buy his new CD!" There's also a new track up at the LF's MySpace page: http://www.myspace.com/theloudfamily ------------------------------ End of loud-news-digest V8 #3 *****************************
