Scott, along with the fabulous English band Statuesque and unrepentant anglophile Anton Barbeau, will be playing not one but FOUR shows during the foggy summer month (if you do visit from out of town, don't forget to pack a sweatshirt!). August 15: Rite Spot Cafe, San Francisco. This is the place where Scott & Alison played a few weeks ago. It's a very pleasant restaurant/ performance space, and, most unusual in the city, there is LOTS of free street parking available! August 18: Epic Arts Center teahouse, Berkeley. This is an incredibly intimate spot; it's almost like attending a show in someone's living room. Great vibe, and a very artist-friendly venue. August 19: Hemlock Tavern, San Francisco. Statuesque played here on their last tour of the States. There's a back room where the bands play, so there's less chance that some loudmouth at the bar will ruin your evening. August 21: Fox & Goose, 1001 R Street, Sacramento. This is an authentic English pub -- what a great place to see these bands while quaffing a pint of cider and enjoying some fish & chips! Please try to attend at least one of these shows; there will undoubtedly be fun & surprises galore. If we're lucky, maybe Scott & Anton will reprise their Mick & Keith "Rocks Off" duet. Also, rumor has it that the boys are working on some brand new material, so if you're very lucky, maybe you'll have a chance to hear the first *new* Scott Miller music since 2000! There are a couple of new Ask Scotts up at http://www.loudfamily.com/ This list shrinks every time we post to it -- there are always a bunch of "mailbox closed" or "no such address" bounce mails. If you're going to be changing your e-mail address, feel free to unsubscrbe the old one by e-mailing majordomo @smoe.org and putting 'unsubscrbe loud-news' in the message body; then resubscrbe by sending an e-mail with 'subscrbe loud-news' in the message body from your new address. Or just write to us, and we'll do it. We pride ourselves on our service around here.
