But Shannon has articulated what I feel much better than I can right now and perhaps better than I'll ever be able to. I do want to say that I appreciate people respecting Stacey's privacy, as you can imagine we all hurt right now. Gil did pass peacefully surrounded by people he loved and who loved him dearly. I want you all to know how much he loved this community and you folks. I'll let Shannon's words speak for me: > > "I don't know how to capture in words who Gil Ray was, or just how much joy, laughter and faith in human goodness he brought into my life for the past 25 years and, for longer than that, into Dan's. All the tributes on his page today express that as well as I could, because Gil brought those gifts to everyone he knew, whether you'd known him for decades or just for a short time. Dan and I are heartbroken for Stacey and so many others who are hurting, and we will miss Gil forever, more than we can fathom right now. Our comfort is his legacy: the music and all the beautiful friendships on this earth that were forged by Gil, whose light so naturally drew people together in the best possible human spirit. Love you always Gil." - Shannon Vallor ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 26 Jan 2017 00:40:53 -0800 From: Daniel Vallor Subject: [loud-fans] Gil I'm posting this here because some of you folks aren't on other social media.
