Andrea had never seen them. I sprung for Platinum VIP, which included the meet and greet (which, for our venue, they held on their tour bus, taking us in in groups of 2 or 3 at a time). Very long-standing dream come true to meet Keith, and I had him autograph my sheet music book of the piano concerto. Andrea bought a regular ticket, but since the guys came out to the barricade out back after, she got to briefly meet them and get autographs and her photo with them, as well. The show was wonderful, and the guys are very personable, generous, and down to earth. It's obvious they really appreciate their fans. Greg's voice sounds better than it has in some time. Based on bootlegs of other shows on the tour that I've acquired, Keith seems to have good nights and not so good nights. He played quite adeptly at our show. During the Q&A segment, a fellow asked him about his hand surgeries and how things were going, and in relating that he had seen many doctors and neurosurgeons and been "cut about a good deal more than (he) should have been," and what a "very dark time" that had been, with "many crying nights," he got choked up and had tears in his eyes. The audience rose to their feet and applauded him in support and it was a very touching moment. Surely as the Boomers age and have skin care and accessorizing issues, there must be a need for mature hand models. Never heard of these folks, but mixing Dio and IQ up with Mark Hollis is okay by me! Heard about Dio from a hometown classic rock DJ on the insomniac shift... Andy Eyes flashing, robot conducts wedding in Tokyo May 16, 10:22 AM (ET) By JAY ALABASTER TOKYO (AP) - Almost everyone stood when the bride walked down the aisle in her white gown, but not the wedding conductor, because she was bolted to her chair. The nuptials at this ceremony were led by "I-Fairy," a 4-foot (1.5-meter) tall seated robot with flashing eyes and plastic pigtails. Sunday's wedding was the first time a marriage had been led by a robot, according to manufacturer Kokoro Co. "Please lift the bride's veil," the robot said in a tinny voice, waving its arms in the air as the newlyweds kissed in front of about 50 guests. The wedding took place at a restaurant in Hibiya Park in central Tokyo, where the I-Fairy wore a wreath of flowers and directed a rooftop ceremony. Wires led out from beneath it to a black curtain a few feet (meters) away, where a man crouched and clicked commands into a computer.
