Memphis--already has me thinking about it being the murder spot of MLK. Chilton not liking it makes me think of Pat Conroy and his opinion of Columbia, SC as "an armpit of a city" in his book THE LORDS OF DISCIPLINE. I found in my own experience that his observations were/are correct. - --Mark ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 29 Apr 2010 15:38:08 -0500 From: Tom Galczynski Subject: [loud-fans] New New Porno In case you missed it, you can stream "Together", the new album from The New Pornographers here: http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=126174756 It is excellent, as usual. - -- Tom Galczynski tgalczynski@comcast.net - --------------------------------------- No human thing is of serious importance. -- Plato ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 29 Apr 2010 14:50:37 -0600 From: Roger Winston Subject: Re: [loud-fans] Matt/Memphis On Thu, Apr 29, 2010 at 2:16 PM, wrote: > Anybody liking the new Matt Pond P.A. album (on lossless CD) as much as I? > I'm not a big Matt Pond PA fan, so my opinion probably doesn't count for much. I listened to THE DARK LEAVES in its entirety on LaLa. I totally love the first song on the album ("Starting"), but the rest of the album does absolutely nothing for me. I think I mildly enjoyed one other song. I'm totally an album listener/buyer, rather than a song buyer, but I'm actually contemplating downloading only a song for once. Mine's beautiful. The Joy Of Sex guy says they're very erotic. I really like the two songs I've heard. Latre. --Rog ------------------------------ End of loud-fans-digest V9 #86 ******************************
