I didn't know she had one! Thanks for the info. I just got the Broken Bells disc. I like it. It was on sale here for 9.99. I hate/love my sister, she's such a bitch/she's the best, - --Mark, who woke up to find at 4:55 am yesterday morning me introducing my last track on WNCW's ARC Overnight--how'd I do that, since I was half-asleep in my bed? I pulled out of the milk-crated collection some real goodies, like Ups and Downs' "Solitary Man" from SLEEPLESS, The Method Actors' "Dancing Underneath," from their DB Recs lp, Primal Scream's "Gentle Tuesday" from SONIC FLOWER GROOVE and Sparks with Jane Wiedlin's "Cool Places" from SPARKS IN OUTER SPACE, an extended 12" version of General Public's "Tenderness," the B's "Devil's in My Car" live in Boston 1979, The Weather Prophets' "Why Does the Rain" from their first record, along with a few others. It was a lot of fun to do. I haven't used Discwasher stuff in years. It felt like high school, listening to records. Only it was on kickass top-end equipment. - --Mark ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 11 Mar 2010 19:19:33 EST From: TruePantone293@aol.com Subject: [loud-fans] The Orange Peels The new one is, I think, their best yet. SQUARE is forever a charmer, but 2020 is a mature, great record. I had e-mailed Allen at the site and asked about my disc, as two weeks had passed and no disc (I was hoping to play it in the show), and he apologized and said he'd been neglecting his orders. He's a nice guy to correspond with. We talked about Mid-century Modern. - --Mark ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 11 Mar 2010 19:24:58 -0500 From: Jenny Grover Subject: Re: [loud-fans] New/Old Music TruePantone293@aol.com wrote: > The Method Actors' "Dancing Underneath," from their DB Recs lp I searched for YEARS, DECADES for anything by the Method Actors and never found anything and still have never heard anything by them :-( Jen ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 11 Mar 2010 18:29:31 -0800 (PST) From: "\[The Arch-Villain\] West" Subject: Re: [loud-fans] New/Old Music http://www.lastdaysofmanonearth.com/blog/?p=1132 - --- On Thu, 3/11/10, Jenny Grover wrote: From: Jenny Grover Subject: Re: [loud-fans] New/Old Music To: loud-fans@smoe.org Date: Thursday, March 11, 2010, 4:24 PM TruePantone293@aol.com wrote: > The Method Actors' "Dancing Underneath," from their DB Recs lp I searched for YEARS, DECADES for anything by the Method Actors and never found anything and still have never heard anything by them :-( Jen ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 11 Mar 2010 19:08:27 -0800 (PST) From: Gil Ray Subject: Re: [loud-fans] New/Old Music I loved them back in the day! Very minimalist but highly danceable. There was another strange duo from Atlanta called Vietnam that achieved similar athletic feats (me dancing....with the right drugs of course!)
