One of the 2010 records i'm most excited about is The Desert of Shallow Effects by Miles Kurosky (ex-Beulah.) I was lucky enough to do a little singing on the record and I can report that it's fantastic -- really dense, colorful, caffeinated pop in the best way.  
Miles has always put on an excellent live show and the tour starts soon -- I highly recommend going to check him out:
