I'm not sure you should equate the suffering of Haitians with political commentators (and their followers) being exposed as gullible. If you check his show transcripts, I doubt you'll find that Limbaugh ever has. Still, I'm sure you're being admirably moralistic. I'm reminded of your earlier theory that Rush Limbaugh's deafness is justice "on a cosmic scale." Why don't you explain to us the Christian/karmic convergence that has left Ebert profoundly deformed and unable to speak? Did he give bad reviews to too many John Hughes films? This is possibly the most amusing and kind-hearted "Jane, you ignorant slut" counterpoint you've ever sent my way. Thank you. There are certain things I cannot explain--the day in 1984 when my dad died in a car accident, hours after I told my mom not to go with him because I had the feeling that something terrible was going to happen, the night in 1989 when I was driving back to College of Charleston alone and fell asleep behind the wheel of my Rabbit and felt a hand push me awake a split-second before going off the highway into a ditch that would have killed me--the popularity of Lady Gaga and that stupid, pitch-corrected song about fireflies that even Raffi wouldn't touch--makes my thoughts about karmic justice/a cosmic wake-up call dealt to a jackass journalistic hack who influences elections (because of his legions of voting machine frequenting "Dittoheads" who think even his post pork and bean farts have significance and relevance and should be heard) and therefore the lives of millions, perhaps billions even, of people with his tongue seem rather cosmically non-mysterious and 7-Up clear in comparison. As for the John Hughes films, the Molly Ringwald trilogy--I've outgrown. As of last week . - --Mark "But no man can tame the tongue. It is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison." On a music-related note, the Alive label is about to release a live recording of a 1981 Halloween show by The Plimsouls. It makes the band sound far more important than their albums ever did. ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 18 Jan 2010 08:57:05 EST From: jrt456@aol.com Subject: Re: [loud-fans] Poll?
