Looking forward to answers; onlist would be more fun of course, but offlist is okay if you prefer. Expectantly, Andy (1) What would you ask Edward Lay and Chris Urbanowicz of Editors if you just have 15 minutes with them? What '80s bands were always on your stereo growing up? (2) Same for Orlando Weeks of The Maccabees Don't know their stuff. (3) Who are the ten greatest female bass players of all time? Their best albums? All I can think of right now is Kathy Valentine. - --Mark, who now has to study for a written California driver's test--I want to do something really CA, like cut someone off in traffic, or buy something gourmet at Trader Joes THE BONEYARD PAY TO GET IN PRAY YOU GET OUT!!! It's got winding, extended melodies delivered with all the sing-along enthusiasm of power-pop; nerdy, impassioned lyrics full of local detail and storytelling; varied arrangements, but all of them easily accessible. If you're already a Tris fan (or a Ben Krieger fan), I expect this should be an easy winner, but if you aren't, this might be a great time to start.

Hopefully it will show up at iTunes and/or Amazon and/or EMusic then, but I was assuming it would show up as a pre-order. My bad. I'll drop him a note, ask, and get back to y'all. >> Just a quick note that I think the brand new Tris McCall album _Let the >> Night Fall_ is brilliant -- my favorite of his albums at least since >> Scott Miller produced him nine years ago -- and I think it would go over >> well on this list.
