Sorta funny that it was Apple that first started using USB in major way. - - Steve __________ I can't resist an anime that includes a small, cute, violence prone girl with a scythe. - John ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 6 Aug 2009 11:55:43 EDT From: Markwstaples@aol.com Subject: Re: [loud-fans] a special place In a message dated 8/6/2009 1:35:00 A.M. There are a good many vehicles around here with little decals of families--little cartoonish representations of a dad, mom, sisters, brothers, pets--the driver's family structure is represented on the back window. One courageous girl (for these parts) has two girls side-by-side. Is this a national thing? A friend of mine who despises them told me he wanted to have a decal of a guy and a cat for the back window of his Crossfire to represent him. Me, it would be a dog and an elderly woman--though I don't think crotchetiness would transfer over well to a vinyl decal. - --Mark **************A Good Credit Score is 700 or Above. Seeing this just now made me realize his soundtracks also had a big impact on me. I was really into that style of edgy-if-you-were-especially-sheltered pop that he featured in his movies. Hughes deserves a special place in my heart just for introducing me to "Left of Center" by Susan Vega and Joe Jackson. Because of the soundtrack to PRETTY IN PINK, I discovered Suzanne Vega, and promptly bought her first album. I think the PRETTY IN PINK soundtrack is as important a release on these shores in '86 as NME's C86 cassette was in the UK. Both were pivotal in their recruitment of newbie fringe music lovers, as well as influencing a lot of musicians. And, I can't believe my grandmother actually felt me up .
