As long as I'm mentioning things that don't really exist, the new John Vanderslice is going to be awesome. Err, I bet. These folks began life as a psychedelic-ish band from Boston, ended up touring (and playing as backing players) with Papas Fritas, and relocated to Cali where they managed to merge the poppy simplicity of Papas with their more out there influence. I dunno, maybe I'm so starved for good music right now that I'm over-rating this. The disc itself doesn't hit until May, but the band is streaming it live for your previewing enjoyment here: http://thefarawayplaces.com/jukebox/ Caio, hope everyone's well. ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 04 Apr 2009 02:03:17 -0400 From: Jenny Grover Subject: Re: [loud-fans] ...and that's the horn for the end of the first quarter...
