Finding it hard to believe that Andy has never heard of Manu Chao or Rage Against The Machine (or is the latter just a winking reference to the typo on the site?)... ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 18 Feb 2009 10:21:08 -0800 From: Michael Mitton Subject: [loud-fans] Crap! I Missed It Has anyone else used this website, crapimissedit.com ? Basically, you can enter music artists, tv shows, authors, sports teams, concerts, and more, and it warns you when that artist has a new CD out, or is playing in your area, etc. In principle, I love this site; it could save me a lot of pain when glenn releases the loud-fan poll results and I think, "Of Montreal had a new album?!" I've been checking it against things that I know are upcoming, like NCAA basketball scores and TV shows--and it works--but I still don't know how accurate it will be at picking up smaller releases like, say, Emm Gryner. (I think the site relies on Amazon, and "Goddess" isn't available there yet.) If anyone else has used this, I'd love to hear what you think. ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 18 Feb 2009 16:52:19 -0800 From: Andrew Hamlin Subject: Re: [loud-fans] The Shortlist, or, me and 169(?) other love songs... > Well, I was the other guy--the one who *didn't* get shortlisted--who pitched > FUNERAL. Sorry to hear. Would you be interested in sharing your pitch online? Some of the others have done that. > Finding it hard to believe that Andy has never heard of Manu Chao or Rage > Against The Machine (or is the latter just a winking reference to the typo > on the site?)... Oh, looks like I knew Mano Negra, but not Chao himself. And Jer, buddy, it's "Rage Against The Macine" quite clearly...
