It's such a good copy, it's like a really good fake Rolex. The Amazon samples certainly sound promising. And you gotta love the deliberate circular "LP wear" on what I'm assuming is a CD booklet cover, Andy "I'm not disabled enough to be considered disabled enough for disability." - --Jen Grover ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 4 Sep 2008 17:08:57 EDT From: Markwstaples@aol.com Subject: Re: [loud-fans] The Explorers Club In a message dated 9/4/2008 3:46:01 P.M. That's why I made a color copy of the sleeve at Kinko's the other day when I burned it for somebody. The cover is a treat as well. Check out their MySpace vids. They are pretty funny. Jason from the band wrote me in response to an e-mail, and he and I both discovered that we are both former attendies of Charleston Southern University (I went there after getting kicked out of College of Charleston--'about the only good memories I have of CSU is having my own dorm room, all the Crunchberry Captain Crunch I could eat in the caf, and taking guitar and piano classes--was kicked off the school paper for being too radical). I've been playing the album continuously now without listening to any others for about three days. It gives you an idea what BB albums would sound like recorded on modern equipment. Sonically stunning. What I find amazing is how it was so quickly dismissed at WNCW. I discovered it was in very light rotation by the other ARC DJs, then off to the free bin in the lobby. It stood out like a sore thumb in all that other schlock in the grab bin to me. I open it, and there's an index card reading "listen to this, and you'd think it was The Beach Boys. Too pop." "Too pop" for everyone else usually means "just right" for me. Caroline yes, - --Mark **************It's only a deal if it's where you want to go. Find your travel deal here. You get a taste of the band's recorded music at the end, as well as what the cover and the vinyl looks like (complete with swirl). There are several videos of the band live on YouTube as well. - --Mark, now prepared musically to go to Gil's "X-Ray Beach" _YouTube - explorers club commercial 1_ (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sbgw7qpS360) **************It's only a deal if it's where you want to go.
