How totally "To Tell The Truth" for the internet age. Will the real Sgt. Cockring please stand up? NO, ON SECOND THOUGHT, DON'T!!! I'm picturing Sgt. Cockring driving off in his camo-painted '64 Impala into the ethers of the desert on the DAYS FOR DAYS cover. Poof. Gone. **************Looking for a car that's sporty, fun and fits in your budget? Whatever prints you have salvaged, though, I urge you to scan them ASAP in case they degrade further. If you don't have a scanner or a nearby friend with one (I don't recommend mailing those prints as they could stick together or crack in the heat), I think a lot of copy shops have them. I was on the Converse.com site and my computer just slows to a crawl. I don't have a virus (I scanned) but I was wondering if it has to do with the site being so saturated with gook and my microprocessor, the humble little Celeron D? I mean, the red light on my CPU just glows continuously on that site. I ended up using the phone to order my shoes, as I couldn't get a cart. Would the evil AOL possibly be a culprit? I'm noticing that my computer is having a harder time with the increased amount of moving ads and what not on AOL of late, but this is the first time I've noticed a problem with a site. I've been on broadband now for almost two years, and it's been just fine. Charter supposedly increased my broadband speed not long ago. Would this actually make me slow down if I had a slow microprocessor? Would a microprocessor upgrade be feasible, or would it be cheaper to get a new computer? This one has served me well for three years. It was one of those AOL computers from CompUSA (r.i.p.) that you got cheap if you signed up for the service for a year. I paid 199. The next week it was reduced to 99, and that was for everything, Lexmark printer, Philips monitor, etc. (wish I'd waited!) I stuck my old Samsung burner in it from the Compaq that died and it's been fine up to this point. Celeron is Intel speak for "any cheaper and you're back to the gerbil on the exercise wheel." - --Mark **************Looking for a car that's sporty, fun and fits in your budget?
