["Andrew Hamlin" Subject: [loud-fans] Promotional CDs For the first time, a federal judge has ruled on whether record labels can stop you from selling their promotional CDs, and he said that they can't. They do fall under the right of first sale. http://arstechnica.com/news.ars/post/20080612-judge-record-labels-cant-stop-sale-of-promotional-cds.html This makes me feel better about all those promotional CDs I've bought from bargain racks over the years, except for the one from the Delgados which didn't forbid the sale but did note that they received no compensation from the sale of this CD. They hoped I liked them enough that I'd buy a copy for which they'd receive compensation. I'm trying to create links under lines of texts. Problem: directions say to click "link" and the screen has no "link" upon which to click. So I can't make my text link to anything. Any help much appreciated. Yes, Machines Hate Me, Andy Adding Links If you would like to make the band/artist's name link to their website or MySpace, highlight the words you wish to make into a link. Click the LINK button. This will bring up a tiny window. Paste the URL in the appropriate box. Make sure to click "Open link in a new window" from the drop down menu. Click INSERT. Your browser may not support display of this image. Voila! Now you have links in your story. Use your imagination :) One of the icons show two links of a chain. I think that's what they mean. Be sure and highlight the text you want to create the link on first. While we're on the topic of blogs, here are a couple of links to articles on my blog which might interest the odd person here: I Can't Get Behind "I Can't Get Behind That" Models Make Bad Computer Geeks Mike Tarry, Rosalie, and the Summer of '73 (mentioned before on the list) Paul King > So I can't make my text link to anything. I love to read, but I don't love to pay 20 bucks for a dud. Check it out from the library, Mark!
