I've been waiting for the right moment to bring this up, but I'm the worst procrastinator since Hamlet, so here it is. I've been wanting to find out who in Loudland is the best, the number- one ruling bull-goose loony vinyl digitizer. I can do it; I do it all the time. I got a Technics SL-1200 and a TDK CD recorder and burn LPs to CDs all the time, but people have sometimes complained that the sound was a bit sibilant, so I've always been a little self- conscious about burning records to CD for others. In the past they were quite sibilant, but they seem much less so now, possibly due to the passage of time and/or the wear on the stylus. It does sound more normal now than it used to. So why does this matter? I've got a copy of Blaze of Glory that's in beautiful shape and have been meaning to share it. Likewise the Alternate Learning LP and EP. Maybe the best way to handle this is to carefully send the records off to the acknowledged king/queen of record digitizing in the Land of Loud. I might want a good CD copy of these myself, and my CD duplicator can duplicate many CDs. Opinions? ...Anybody? Anybody? ------------------------------ End of loud-fans-digest V7 #237 *******************************
