Dave Weckerman is in his band which he's modeled on the Feelies and they are playing Feelies songs now including songs from Crazy Rhythms. If you get the chance to go to this show, do not miss it. I bought the record and have only heard it once, but it is defintely the best thing Glenn has done since Time for a Witness. I am now managing a band called a Place to Bury Strangers. They are getting quite a bit of notice from Pitchfork as of late. If you like My Bloody Valentine, JMC and Joy Division, they'll be up your alley. Here is their myspace page: http://www.myspace.com/aplacetoburystrangers Saw Paula Carino & the New Dealbreakers last night at the Delancey. She was awesome as always. THE GOOD EARTH is probably the fourth or fifth CD I purchased, and it doesn't sound dated to me at all--it sounds very clean and free of production trends (just wish I'd never sold my white vinyl of Crazy Rhythms when the CD came out). Even cleaner sounding is CR--recorded "direct to the board" which I don't think is a bad thing at all--makes for excellent headphone listening. I remember Wake Ooloo did a great cover of Love Tractor's "Fun To Be Happy." I didn't get into the Yung Woo record, though. How long did they play? - --Mark . ************************************** See what's new at http://www.aol.com ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 22 Sep 2007 14:59:31 -0400 From: "Paul King" Subject: Re: [loud-fans] I want my GTV > At Monday 9/17/2007 10:30 PM, Sgt.
