Very much. Thankfully there are plenty of the girl's voices on this one. Need my Neko fix. The other woman is so gorgeous I can hardly stand it. I saw a vid clip of them on Letterman and while the above song was a bit rough live, my eyeballs were having no problem with their front line. Is it just me, or does Neko at times sound a little like Natalie Merchant??? I have noticed that too with Neko, that she sounds like Natalie Merchant. But Neko has taken the best of Natalie, and mixed it with her own voice. It's very cool. Maybe its all about context... And Neko has a better voice than Merchant right now too, Natalie's last album wasn't much vocally. Neko keeps on getting better with each album. The other woman is Kathryn Calder, niece of NP lead guy Carl Newman, and frontwoman of her own band, Immaculate Machine. If you haven't listened to their stuff, Gil, you should. Their latest album FABLES came out a few months ago, and though it's not as good as the previous one (ONES AND ZEROS), it's still pretty keen. Both albums were produced by NP John Collins. CHALLENGERS is definitely growing on me, but it didn't hit me as hard out of the gate as the previous three. There's an EP in between, LES UNS MAIS PAS LES AUTRES, sung entirely in French. I recommend it highly as well. ONES AND ZEROS is also notable for its song "There's No Such Thing As The Future," where for absolutely no reason that I can see, the guy singer does a dead-on impersonation of Jonathan Richman's speaking voice.
