I just found out that Wounded Bird has released all four of their albums on CD. I'm pretty sure that they weren't out on CD before. Now if only someone would re-release the Winter Hours catalog... Space-conscious fans might want to hold up on buying the Wounded Bird reissues. While a rarities disc and an unreleased '90s album are slated for a domestic release, there's also some kind of 2-disc UK releases that the Akadia label currently has set for May. It could be twofer reissues of those '80s albums. ************************************** See what's free at http://www.aol.com. ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 25 Apr 2007 20:43:29 EDT From: Scout82667@aol.com Subject: Re: [loud-fans] Translator In a message dated 4/25/2007 7:11:43 P.M. I lucked out when I lived in Charlotte back in the nineties--found the entire Translator catalog there at the Manifest Records, mint, for 2 bucks each--also found BIG SHOT on vinyl for the same price and bought it for a guy I befriended that worked there--he thanked me many times for the introduction to Scott tunes. Now, I can play finally play them again, and have selected them for a spin. - --Mark, who heard a great song on World Cafe, but can't remember the band's name--Great Lake? I don't think it was The 6th Great Lake or Great Lakes--I know those bands. Meanwhile, the Almacantar label plans a summer release for TIME OF THE MIRACLE ('93 reunion) and DIFFERENT TIME (assorted rarities, and maybe different than the CD-R they sold at their reunion shows in 2006). The new Barton album is called FLICKER OF TIME. That said, Wounded Bird is certainly a fine label that deserves our support. ************************************** See what's free at http://www.aol.com. ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 25 Apr 2007 21:06:07 -0500 From: 2fs Subject: Re: [loud-fans] Translator On 4/25/07, Scout82667@aol.com wrote: > > I > > --Mark, who heard a great song on World Cafe, but can't remember the > band's > name--Great Lake?
