Dennis It would be my idea of fun to read the earliest posts, to see what Loudfans talked about--how the younger versions of list stalwarts differ from the older--that sort of thing. But, I suppose that isn't a good use of my time, but I still think it would be fun. One of the best jobs I've ever had was being an archivist in the library of my university as a work-study--reading nasty racist correspondence from a famous now dead longest serving SC Senator who gave money to the school in the '60s. Amazing how many names I recognize, and how many are still around here (more or - in many cases - less): Miles, Aaron Mandel, Stewart, Doug MW... Apparently my first post was December 11, 1994 - unsurprisingly, it seems I lost no time becoming instantly chatty and multi-posty (although I never breened the list...there's a verb for the old-timers). It was a very exciting time Loud Family-wise. We were so anxious for lyrics, meanings, tour dates, new music and anything else Scott related. There was the Breen spam, the Dain uproar, the Henry uproar, the first soiree, the Zach disappearance, the Karen mystery, several divorces and new romances, getting kicked offstage for the cowboy poet, and a bunch of other stuff, both good and bad, that all orbits around Scott and the Loud Family. It has never been boring and you guys mean the world to me (wipes away tear) Dennis ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 28 Feb 2007 11:23:32 -0700 From: "Roger Winston" Subject: Re: [loud-fans] poll torch-handing Just to be clear, I was kidding about the donations. But thanks, guys! There's more where that sample came from, though I don't know how much I can fit on my site. Plus, we'd start getting into my embarrassing early posts with the next batch, and no one needs to see those. Here's a zipfile of what I have. Some years are documented more thoroughly than others, though I think in every case, the results list all the albums more than one person voted for. Note that at some point (I'm not sure when), I started just including the votes of people who emailed their lists to loud-fans but didn't submit a web ballot. http://pastemob.org/lfpoll.zip aaron ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 28 Feb 2007 18:54:00 EST From: CertronC90@aol.com Subject: Re: [loud-fans] poll torch-handing In a message dated 2/28/2007 9:37:20 A.M.
