Mitch Easter's new album, DYNAMICO, is *finally* available, and 125 are lucky enough to be the ones selling it. If you like guitars, and what they sound like when turned up & rocked on, get this damn record! While you're at it, if you like Beatlesy pop, which some of you do, I'd say, you should also check out the Chris Brown CD NOW THAT YOU'RE FED. Even though Chris (of Berkeley, CA) played most of it himself, you'd never know that. Lots of chiming chords and background vox. Congrats also to our main man Gil for his Best CD nomination in the Rondo Hatton Horror Awards! Oh my God, this is a fabulous release! It's Mitch, and as Joe said, it rocks hard. Amazing. There is no way any other cd could be cd of the year for 2007. I'll vote now. Gil - --- "Joseph M. Good to see so much discussion about Game Theory and the Loud Family. I have been on board since Big Shot Chronicles. I am sure there are many who feel the same way. Why don't we start a "Make Scott Famous" campaign? It would be fun. If we could secure Scott's rights and masters, it could even be a windfall for "our Scott." I've been listening to all these songs, with the exception of one, over the past few years in clubs and I can hardly wait to hear studio versions of them. There are lots of cool songs here! Two of my live favorites have been "Sights Set on Heaven" and "You/Me". This is not a Let's Active rehash, the songs are fresh and a bit more eclectic and yeah Gil they ROCK. I don't think any one will be disappointed with Mitch's new direction. My CD player is begging for this one. Larry On 1/31/07, Gil Ray wrote: > > Oh my God, this is a fabulous release! I was fortunate enough to have heard an earlier un-remastered version, and the new version is gorgeous. I really wish my cd could have been this good! Mitch is speaking to my heart, with loads of 70's influences, but man, he makes it sound so...now. (I was blown away that Eric Marshall only plays on 1 cut! Mitch is quite the drummer.) I called Earshot tonight to see if they had it and it's not in their system, which kind of surprised me since they're carrying Don Dixon's latest (maybe they just need some time). Did Mitch record himself in digital or analog? Doesn't he have both available at his studio? - --Mark ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 31 Jan 2007 23:46:42 -0800 (PST) From: "Joseph M. I should've made clearer - 125 is the *only* place the CD is available until March 13th, when it should be in stores and on other sites. Thanks, Larry & Gil, for the good words about DYNAMICO.
