Oh yeah, that guy from Backstreet Boys--no wait, I said "best music." I went to one of those Christian support groups for "ex-gays" for a long time, but found that I was just frustrating myself, and realized I was STILL gay (or for me, about 80%--there are some women that flip my switch) and STILL CHRISTIAN. In fact, my ex-partner is now an ordained minister working as a hospital chaplain in San Francisco (I sent his funny test for SF students to the list). I came to a point where I had to say to myself, "I'm okay, and I don't fit in to the Christian mainstream, but that's OKAY, and it doesn't make me a bad person." I just got to a point where I told myself, "I'm tired of apologizing for being me," and if that doesn't fit into the mainstream Christian belief system, then I'm going to have to have an amicable parting of the ways. I love who I believe is the creator of the universe, and who I believe is his son. I also love my ex's sexy ears. - --Mark ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 27 Jan 2007 21:28:13 +0000 From: 1325carter@comcast.net Subject: Re: [loud-fans] You have been warned. Yep, there's a new kid on the block! Serves Edie Brickell right. (her label played a very funny trick on GT in 1988 - they prevented us from a $ bonus situation in Atlanta when we ended up being knocked off the headlining spot when her label put her there, and even though our contract said a bonus was due if the show was a sell-out, turns out most of the tickets were radio give-aways. I wrote that "Reverend" Phelps a few years back and warned him that it is dangerous to say you are speaking for G O D, and that the number of people he turned off from faith in God and/or Jesus Christ in their disgust because of his "Christian witness" to people is something he's going to have to answer for.
