He used software called 3ALabiRadio, version 1.5, and it's shareware, and can be sampled for 15 days free. I just wanted to pass this on if you're interested in getting it and didn't know about it. I want to use it to record Andrew Sandoval's shows on Luxuria (he e-mailed me and told me he listened to my show! How cool!!). I think it's truly remarkable that I get a crystal clear recording of a terrestrial radio show I did in a little town in Western North Carolina called Spindale recorded in Orange, CA. What a great time to be alive from a technology standpoint. And, where else but Loudfans does a woman in Huntington, West Virginia digitally compile videos of a San Francisco, CA band and send them out for love, not money? That's truly great as well. What other bands have such passionate devotion? Damn few, I guarantee you. I think Scott Miller is truly special because he may not sell gazillions of units to people who buy music as a lifestyle accessory, but he sells a modest amount to people for which music IS a lifestyle. That's way better and more significant from my perspective. This record is a pencil, not a beercan, - --Mark ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 8 Jan 2007 11:17:20 -0800 (PST) From: zoom@muppetlabs.com Subject: Re: [loud-fans] list archives > The (non-searchable) archive of the loud-fans list is at > http://www.smoe.org/lists/loud-fans. Well, searchable within each archive file, at least. Thar blows something better than nothing, Andy "Do you like the Buzzcocks?" "I like all music." (pause) "Every single thing?" "I think if you limit the kind of music you listen to, you're limiting yourself." "I don't think I liked the Paris Hilton album very much." "That's not music, that's just garbage." - --approximately, a recent conversation between me and a woman sitting at the computer next to mine, at the Sureshot Cafe ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 08 Jan 2007 15:12:54 -0500 From: Jenny Grover Subject: Re: [loud-fans] recording internet radio CertronC90@aol.com wrote: > > And, where else but Loudfans does a woman in Huntington, West Virginia > digitally compile videos of a San Francisco, CA band and send them out for love, > not money? Actually, it was a man. LOL! Hubby did the actual digitizing, but I did pick out which songs to use on the live comp. and help with menus and stuff.
