That car will cut you off. Now, try driving a Prius in southern California. You become the default target of any road rage incident in the general vicinity. No, I'm not jaded at all... I thought they were as powerful as a Corolla or Civic or something 4-cylinder like that. I remember about 9 years ago driving up to WNCW in Spindale, NC all the time when I was interning there and I was driving my '65 Beetle (white steering wheel with grey and white door panels--fab), with its original engine (duck on a conveyor belt), and people would do all sorts of maneuvers to pass me on those mountain roads. Oh well, I understand, but you either appreciate the Zen beauty in driving Ferdinand Porsche's people's car, or you don't. God, the '65 Beetle is a thing of beauty to me (those big bubble headlights--ah.) - --Mark ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 17 Nov 2006 14:35:56 -0800 (PST) From: "Joseph M. It's primal out there. Last year, when I still had my Suzuki Swift, I was out near the mall at rush hour and I hear this redneck guy in the passenger seat of an F-150 talking to his buddy about ME in their truck the next lane over behind me (I had my sunroof out and windows down, and their windows were down). The guy said, "Look at that fatass in that, what is that? Suzuki SWIFT?? Yeah, 'swift.' What the f*** kind of car is THAT???" And with that, I turned around, stuck my head out the window, looked him straight in the eye and said, HEY!!! F**K YOU." I wasn't "skeert." I was totally expecting to have to get all Maury Povich on his dip ringed butt. Bring it on, you Toby Keith lovin' wife beater. I'm a peaceful man, but even I have my limits. He didn't do anything. But he did shut up and then said he was sorry in embarrassment. Maybe it was wrong, but it felt SOOOOO right. - --Mark ------------------------------ End of loud-fans-digest V6 #230 *******************************
