I was only familiar with the more modern "Fear of God"/Daddy's Highway/National Grid" one. Where were they from and did they have any full length albums? There's yet another band called The Bats that turned up on that fancy Yellow Pills compilation (on the Numero label.) I guess it's not surprising that "The Bats" would be a popular name! BBC radio did an excellent 29-minute feature on FZ's life and work, told mostly by Germaine Greer -- yes, they were friends. Give it a listen at .
