If I remember, Jenny, your want list was mostly pretty obscure stuff. I suspect if you put up one or two more common titles that you want, they'll show up pretty quickly. Every once in a while, though, you just time things right: I wouldn't have thought there were loads of people with Peter Blegvad CDs in their outbox...but two minutes after I added them, two were on the way (from the same guy, as it happens)> - -- ...Jeff Norman The Architectural Dance Society http://spanghew.blogspot.com ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 17 Sep 2006 18:07:30 -0400 From: "outbound-only email address" Subject: Re: [loud-fans] lala question I'm pretty sure that La La lists CDs that have never been available or traded in the system, so just because La La lists some of the compilations Jen is looking for doesn't imply that any La La member has them, let alone has them for trade. (What led me to this conclusion is that I looked up one of my discs that's available at CD baby. Instead of "members who like" or "members who have" I got a generic field of "cool members" until I told La La I had the disc, at which point I became the sole return.) ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 17 Sep 2006 21:27:09 -0400 From: Jenny Grover Subject: Re: [loud-fans] lala question outbound-only email address wrote: >I'm pretty sure that La La lists CDs that have never been available or >traded in the system, so just because La La lists some of the compilations >Jen is looking for doesn't imply that any La La member has them, let alone >has them for trade. > >(What led me to this conclusion is that I looked up one of my discs that's >available at CD baby. One thing is the lack of cover art or tracklisting or any info for a lot of items listed on Lala. Also, when I clicked on some discs and hit other members who it said have that disc, the actual case was that they all had it on their want list. I didn't think my want list was *that* obscure, though. I mean, there's a lot of stuff I want that just isn't on the site at all. I put up a couple of things last night I really thought would do the trick (Archer Prewitt and Eels), but nada so far.
