I shudder at the thought of how great they could be if this was a permanent, working band. Actually, it bums me out that it's not. Really bums me out. Scott and Anton's voices work extremely well together, and it was sorta bizarre to hear Scott doing the lower harmonies! Too bad they were having monitor and sound problems - I swear to god - if I see one more Scott show and his Marshall isn't cranked up loud enough - AND I DON'T SAY ANYTHING - just kick me in the ass!!!! (man! Joe's got some loud drums!) I had an interesting conversation with Anton, regarding some of his vocal parts, esp. on Songs About Rocks Off. I noticed he was having a little difficulty with the background harmonies, (I didn't bring it up - he did!) and he said that he actually had to learn his parts off the cd! During recording, he would sing many different parts, and basically, after the fact, Scott would do his alchemy and literally compose and create the part on Pro Tools, after the fact. Since Anton didn't rehearse with the band (I'm not even sure the band rehearsed..), all he could do was to try to learn his parts off the cd. Neat, huh?
