Oh, definitely. Both of them sounded distinctly different on WIIW, and I've been assuming that was a mutual benefit from collaboration. (Actually, I'd forgotten this, but I was thrilled way back when it was announced Scott would produce an Anton song-- it seemed like that could be great. The results felt too cautious to me, but in many ways WIIW resembles what I hoped "Third Eye" would be.) An anonymous Pastemob commenter sent me to http://explosivepr.blogspot.com/atom.xml in which Scott says he thought the album had a very concrete theme while they were writing and sequencing it. Interesting. Also, Attractive Nuisance sounds a LOT more coherent to me, conceptually, than it used to. I played it the other day, and it seems like the characters are almost all, in their way, paralyzed or passive at moments of transition. Also clarifies another reason for the last two tracks to be bonus tracks, in that they presumably don't fit thematically. I'll have to keep those ideas in mind next time I listen - or if I get around to compiling the lyrics... - -- ...Jeff Norman The Architectural Dance Society http://spanghew.blogspot.com ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 9 Jul 2006 11:51:46 -0400 From: "Michael Bowen" Subject: Re: [loud-fans] mp3 editing software? (NS) Actually, while I was playing around with Exact Audio Copy (which I use to rip CDs), I found a function (Action -> Copy Range) that will let you manually rip a portion of a CD track.
