At least, I had never read anything substantitve about them before. http://arstechnica.com/articles/culture/emusic.ars They point out something which I guess is obvious, but had never occurred to me. There are only two (legal) places to purchase music that will play on an iPod: iTunes and eMusic. I myself have never purchased music from iTunes. With the price within a few dollars of a CD, lower audio quality and sufficiently annoying DRM (not to mention locking you in to Apple products forever unless you transcode), I can't understand why I would want to buy any music from iTunes. What I wanna know is how can the CEO guy (is his wife "Ms. Pakman"?) get 185 albums in his "Save For Later" list? I can only put 100 in mine and have to put the rest in a user-created "Save For Later Overflow" list. I guess running the company has its privileges... Interesting article tho.
