It is his first studio recording since AN, but 125 has also released the live album FROM RITUAL TO ROMANCE and the live DVD LOUD FAMILY 2000. And will this > represent Scott's first output post- Attractive Nuisance? 125 Records will be releasing it (www.125records.com); the release date at one point was 1/06, but that's being pushed back to accommodate the new songs (and artwork, as per usual). Once it overwhelms the charts, some enormous megadiversified label will buy out 125, making its owners bazillionaires* but choking off yet another indie label. And yes, this is the first new material (i.e., not counting _From Ritual to Romance_ - which, of course, was recorded before AN anyway) from Scott since _Attractive Nuisance_. - -- ...Jeff Norman The Architectural Dance Society http://spanghew.blogspot.com * Don Rumsfeld is giving the president his daily defense briefing. Rummy concludes by saying: "And yesterday, three Brazilian soldiers were killed." "HOLY CRAP!" says the leader of the free world. "That's terrible!" His staff is stunned at this unusual display of emotion. They watch nervously as Mr. Bush sits, head in hands. Finally, Dubya looks up and asks, "So, how many is a brazillion?" - --Art Kumbalek ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 8 Nov 2005 18:40:15 +0200 From: "Richard Blatherwick" Subject: [loud-fans] AIH I saw Architecture in Helsinki in Leeds last Thursday and what a fabulous experience it was! It was part symphony and part ballet as the eight band members moved about the small stage swapping instruments and places in the limelight seamlessly. They played a mixture of songs from both albums, including most of the most memorable ones from In Case We Die. The songs themselves show great skill and awareness of arrangement, and their 50 minute set was similarly beautifully balanced. From the opening 'It'5!' to the conclusion of 'Do the Whirlwind' they had the packed venue in the palm of their collective hand. I should also add that at #5 it was one of the cheaper touring band gigs I've been to in a fair while. Here's hoping the Posies show tomorrow night offers similar levels of value for money! I'm also indebted to them for finishing the show before 10:30 (they had to catch the overnight ferry to Ireland) as this meant that my 80 minute journey home could be accomplished before midnight. ------------------------------ End of loud-fans-digest V5 #251 *******************************
