Yeah, she hit a few flat notes, but I'd still rather have heard that than some godawful diva trying to impress us all with vocal gymnastics and ridiculous filigree. Pretty cool, who is this 2 Bleu. I keep forgetting about this guy. Heard this before, very good power pop. 3 Bubbley kaur Topknot Ihave no idea what laugnage this is being sung in, but this is fun, dancable pop. 4 Firery Furnaces Single Again This band has so much hype around them. I'm not totally convinced they live up to it, don't like the way the singer sings, very affected, and I can do without lyrics about being beaten and banged. Music, which is kind of folky techno, is okay. 5 Erlend Oye Symptom of Disease Nice, mellow techno, vocally, lyricaly, very pleasant. 6 Gomez Catch Me Up I've heard this before, cool pop, I like the way this is sung. English band, taken up by the jam band scene in the US. They don't jam though. 7 A Bossa Eletria Para Varier Latin dance jazz. I love the way this is sung, and the whole song puts me in mind of lying at the beach. Cool and breezy. 8 Soulwax Slowdance a popier NIM, and this isn't bad, but trent has edgier lyrics. This just sounds like general angst, lyricaaly and musically. 9 The Incredable Moses Leroy It's a Sunday. I like this everyday tale of Sunday. Adult rock, reminds me of jason Mratz. Any album info? 10 Lali Puna Bi-Pet Drony techno quietrly hazy, I like the lyrics and title. 12 Sparklehorse Rainmaker More adult rock, and I like the way this guy thinks. If you like Michael Penn, you'll probably like him. Any album info? 13 The Thrills Our Wasted Lives Great adult rock. I have the first album by this band, this is much more enjoyable than anything on it. I'll have to check out this album. 13 Bettie Serveert Smack I always meant to check out this band, and this is one more reason to. Cool indie rock. 14 War Low Rider. great groove, great lyics, party song this will make you dance. 15 Daisy Chainsaw. Love Your Money. Anyone remember his English band from the early 90s. This was their one hit, fun, jokey new wave. I always liked this song, and wondered whatever happened to this band, particually the singer, she's had her problems. 16 Phoenix Run Run Run dancy adult rock. If I'm right, this band is French, they sing in English. I like this, any album info. 17 Buscemi Calling All Drama Queens Dance music, techno. I like this song, and would dance to it in a club. Not sure about a whole album of this though. 18 Radio Four Absolute Affirmination. I like this, great indie pop, melodic and thoughtful. Any album info? 19 Alex Eilers Power Pop song. Rocking singer/songwriter, she reminds me of a lot people, including Juliana Hatfield. Good stuff, any albm info? 20 Domotic CyclatronDont't hink techno is my thign. Can't get into this song. 21 Art Brut Formed a Band Cool indie rock. Any album info. I like the lyrics. 22 Three Guys From Hollywood Frozen Embryos techno about being just that, and the funniest song on the mix. I like this novelty song. Thanks for the mixes Steph!
